Giulitto Trucking Company out of Ravenna, Ohio used our expertise in heating their new truck shop. The shop is 10,000 square feet and is sectioned into four main areas, a truck wash, a maintenance bay, a parts storage room, as well as the office & trucker lounge. The shop is heated by a Clean Burn CB 500 CTB Boiler which is fueled through the trucks’ waste oil in order to heat water which is distributed through 8,500 feet of radiant tubing that runs underneath the 10 inch, concrete floor. The heating manifold is designed for easy start up & maintenance. This is done by including isolation flanges on every pump, purge valves on every return line, and two large air separators.
The temperature in these four zones are controlled by individual thermostats linked to a Tekmar TN4. In order to maintain a constant heat and save energy, this control system simultaneously monitors the outdoor and indoor temperatures to regulate the water temps going through each zone.
